Will I have to remove the case in order to use certain ports or switches?

The Hard Candy Cases design team builds each case specifically around the requirements of each computer. Because each computer is different, we take into consideration placement of each plug, port, switch, and panel. By using our cases, you will retail usability of every port, plug, vent, and panel as before.

What are Hard Candy Cases made of?

Our cases are injection molded with our unique blend of polycarbonate plastics. We choose materials based on their ability to provide your computer with long lasting, easy to clean protection from surface scratches and scuffs.

Will this fit my specific MacBook?

Will a molded case cause my computer to overheat?

At Hard Candy Cases, we do everything we can to prevent our cases from inhibiting the original functionality of your model. We specifically design our cases understanding that heat dissipation is an issue which must be addressed. Our cases feature vents which mimic the location of the original vents on your model, providing proper airflow to reduce chances of thermal shutdown.

How to Install Your Hard Candy Case on your 13" MacBook Air:

Installing your Hard Candy Hard Shell case on your new MacBook Air should be super simple and easy! First, we recommend dusting, or cleaning your MacBook, reducing the chances of dust scratches. Place the bottom of your Hard Shell case on a table or other hard surface. While making sure that your computer is completely closed, press your computer gently into the case bottom until it snaps into place. Make sure to apply pressure to the corners ensuring proper fit into all the tabs of the case.

Once your Hard Shell case bottom has been installed, you can install the top in the same fashion. Again, be sure to apply pressure to the corners of your Hard Shell case in order to seat it properly until it snaps into place.

To ensure ease of use, we recommend removing the cases periodically to dust your computer and clean your Hard Shell case.
