Asus Eee PC Bubble Shell Netbook CaseAscullyJanuary 7, 2010My wife bought me the Asus 1005HA for xmas (thanks babe) and I knew with that automotive finish I would need something to thwart the fingerprints. I bought the clear hard candy shell case and am very pleased with it. Not only does it stop fingerprints, it feels sturdy and will protect the computer when it is in a bag. It was very easy to install and was shipped in a timely manner. If I have one bad thing to say the shell adds a little weight to the netbook, not a massive issue but it does make it feel heavier.

Not only does it thwart the netbook's tendency to be a fingerprint magnet, but the snap on case just makes it feel more secure. Plus, my netbook looks like it's encased in ice! Very cool. I'm very happy with my HardCandy case, and will almost certainly purchase another when the super-rugged version is available: a case that looks like bulletproof Teflon is the next logical step.

How to Install Your Hard Candy Case on your EEE PC:
Installing your Hard Candy Bubble Shell netbook case on your Asus EEE PC should be super simple and easy! First, we recommend dusting, or cleaning your Asus, reducing the chances of dust scratches. Place the bottom of your Bubble Shell on a table or other hard surface. While making sure that your EEE PC is completely closed, press your netbook gently into the case bottom until it snaps into place. Make sure to apply pressure to the corners ensuring proper fit into all the tabs of the case.
Once your Bubble Shell case bottom has been installed, you can install the top in the same fashion. Again, be sure to apply pressure to the corners of your Bubble Shell case in order to seat it properly until it snaps into place.
If you are experiencing difficulties fitting, we recommend using a credit card to separate the netbook case from the netbook. Simply slide the card between the case and your Asus near the tabs, and once the case is off, try fitting again.
To ensure ease of use, we recommend removing the cases periodically to dust your netbook and clean your Bubble Shell netbook hard case.
